The Environmental Law Alliance Worldwide (ELAW) is a global alliance of attorneys, scientists and other advocates helping communities speak out for clean air, clean water, and a healthy planet.
With Plastic Solutions Fund support, ELAW will bring lawyers together from Asia and across the world to share lessons across borders, replicate successful strategies, develop new strategies, and gain the strength and inspiration that come from being part of a global movement to break free from plastic.
ELAW’s science team will provide the scientific support lawyers need, while ELAW’s legal team will work one-on-one with lawyers as they bring cases, craft new strategies, and pursue legal reform to accelerate the end of plastic. Equipped with the law, scientific tools, and broad expertise, these lawyers can work more effectively in local, regional, and national jurisdictions to change government policies, strengthen laws, enforce laws limiting plastic, and hold corporations accountable.
